Kelechi Mbagwu is the Chief Executive officer for CMB Building Maintenance & Investment Company Limited. In 2011, they were proud to receive an award for “Environmental Best Practice in Housing Delivery.” The Department of Urban & Regional Planning at the University of Lagos awarded it. They have an impressive set of attendees including the Coordinator of the World Urban Forum, UN-Habitat from Nairobi. Winning awards like this is nothing new for Kelechi Mbagwu and the team at CMB. They also won an award for “Consistent Promotion of a Planned Environment” in 2010.
Kelechi Mbagwu as the Chief Executive Officer of CNB is committed to maintaining the land. They work hard to be respectful to the environment. They meet or exceed the standards set by the government and work hard to make their properties as environmentally sound as possible while still keeping the prices low. Getting People into their own homes is the other part of the battle. It is less beneficial to have environmentally sound homes when there are still so many who are renting environmentally unsound homes. BY keeping the costs down, more and more families are able to help the environment and get an affordable home.
Kelechi Mbagwu knows how important it is to take care of the environment. His company works to keep that in mind for all of their developments. They don’t cut corners that can often lead to environmental problems. Instead, they do the right thing and do it so efficiently that it ends up saving the consumer money. CMB and Kelechi Mbagwu have some of the lowest prices around, and they are able to do this largely because they are a fully in house developer.
